Violet Louise Kennedy, 76, passed away peacefully Tuesday April 21, 2015 surrounded by her family. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at O’Connor Funeral Home from 4 pm to 8 pm. Services will be held Friday, April 24, 2015 at Northwest Family Fellowship at 11 am. O’Connor Funeral Home is handling arrangements. She was a strong willed woman of faith. Violet was born in Holly Grove, AK on February 24, 1939. She married R.L. Kennedy Jr. on September 23, 1955. In 1974 she moved to Great Falls. with her husband and their two children. Violet worked at The Village Bank as a bookkeeping supervisor until she retired in her early 40’s due to health reasons. She then took on the role of being a full time wife and mother. In 1994, she and her husband rededicated their lives to the Lord. Violet enjoyed hosting Friday night game nights with her husband. Fellowship with their church family was very important to them both. She loved crocheting, reading, hosting bible studies and listening to old southern gospel music. Violet was an outstanding example of a servant’s heart always there to help in any way she could. She has left a definite imprint on all our hearts and will be deeply missed. Violet is survived by her daughter, Rebecca (Andy) Kennedy Benbow; son Roy Lee (Annette) Kennedy III; sister Joyce Robertson Kirk of Bangs, TX; five grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Mavis Robertson; sister Lois Robertson; and brother J.W.
