Virgil David Laasch

Virgil David Laasch, 79, of Ulm, passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2022.

Virgil was born on December 3, 1942, in Eden Prairie, Minnesota to Henry and Hazel (Skillings) Laasch. He was one of thirteen children. After graduating, he joined the US Army. He was 1 st calvary, military police, and a combat mechanic during his enlistment. He went on to being a police officer until approximately 1978, when he decided to go back to being a mechanic.

He was married to Elaine Laasch until their divorce in 2018.

Virgil was very giving to everyone, and he always put them before himself. He had a great sense of humor and loved his family. His favorite sports teams were the Yankees, Steelers, Celtics, and Bruins. He loved old country music, stock car racing, Nascar, and talking politics.

He is survived by his ex-wife, Elaine; daughter, Robin (Jason) Thompson; three grandchildren, Rylan and Jadon Jennings, and Zach Smith; and great-granddaughter, Kylee Jennings. He was preceded in death by his parents and a number of his siblings.
