Virginia Mary Benedetti, 85, passed away at her home at the Beehive on Thursday, April 8, 2021, of natural causes. Virginia was born on August 15, 1935, to Joe and Primetta (Tabaracci) Benedetti. She was the first of five children who were raised in Black Eagle and were proud of their Italian roots and strong Catholic faith. She graduated from Great Falls Central High School. She was employed at Easter Seals and later for Civil Service at Malmstrom Air Force Base. Although she was afflicted with Cerebral Palsy from birth and spent much of her life in a wheelchair, she always tried to enjoy life. She loved to travel and spend time with family and friends and always had a sunny smile. Even though she never married or had children of her own, her biggest delight in life was her beloved nieces and nephews and their families, Ryan, Jeff, Curt, Randy, David, Karen, Steve, Leslie, Dan, and Kathy. She was preceded in death by a special nephew, Michael Chase; her parents; and a brother-in-law, Ed Gabriel. Virginia is survived by her brother, Reynold (Carol) of Great Falls; and sisters Reggie (Laynn) Chase of Billings, Dolores (Don) Adams of Alabama, and Barbara Gabriel of Washington. A special thank you to the staff and her friends at the Beehive Fireweed House for all the loving care they provided her over the years. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service is planned for this summer. Donations in Virginia’s name are suggested to Easter Seals or the donor’s choice.
