William P. “Bill” Minnerly, 77, of Great Falls, a retired vice president in the banking industry, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 2, 2021, at Peace Hospice. A funeral liturgy will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 11, 2021, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church (201 44th St S). Cremation has taken place and placement of his urn will follow the service in the Holy Spirit Columbarium. There will be a luncheon following the ceremony at the church. Bill was born on January 20, 1944, in Missoula, MT and graduated from St. Leo’s Catholic School in Lewistown, MT in 1962. After high school, he enlisted in the US Navy and served respectfully in the Vietnam War for four years. On February 4, 1977, Bill married Janet L. Tappan and they remained happily married until his passing. Their motto was, “Now I know what love is!” Bill was preceded in death by his mother, Joan Walker; stepfather, Penrose Walker; brother, Tom Minnerly; and nephew, Jay Minnerly. He is survived by his wife, Janet Minnerly; 6 stepchildren, Daniel (Peggy) Bleskin, Nancy (Jack) Gray, Tom (Jona) Bleskin, David (Adell) Bleskin, Richard (Tracie) Bleskin, and Shannon (Roy) Dormady; sister, Laurie (Joe) Gokey;niece, Lorinda (Steve) Grosso; nephew, Jeff (Kathy) Minnerly; 16 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
