Wilma Evelyn Antonson, 93, of Wolf Point, passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at a local care facility in Great Falls. At Wilma’s request, no services are planned. Cremation has taken place through O’Connor Funeral Home. Wilma was born on July 19, 1922 in Yankton, South Dakota. She graduated from high school in Yankton. She held numerous jobs throughout her life. Most notably with the public schools and two optometrists in Wolf Point, MT, and the Clerk of Court for Roosevelt County, MT before retiring. Wilma was the unofficial neighborhood children’s Grandma. She enjoyed making things for family, friends and neighbors. She excelled in handmade Christmas ornaments that everyone was pleased to receive. She loved sports and fishing, especially at Fort Peck Lake. Wilma was an excellent cook and baker, an avid gardener, and garage sale empress. She was a great negotiator when buying boats, trailers, etc. Best and foremost, she loved her family and knowing what was going on with everyone. She’ll be greatly missed. Wilma is survived by her sons Gary (Penny) Antonson of San Tan Valley, Arizona and Allen (Jodi) Antonson of Great Falls, Montana; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Arthur “Ding” Antonson and his parents; her parents; daughter Laura Ann Cates; a brother and sister; and one great grandson.
