Albert J. Nomee, 75, passed away due to COVID-19 at Benefis Healthcare in Great Falls on Friday, December 25, 2020. Albert was born on March 19, 1945, in Babb, MT, to Andrew and Esther (McGillis) Nomee.He was raised in East Glacier, attending school in Babb.Following his high school years, Albert moved to Great Falls and began working as a rebar fabricator at Anderson Steel, a position he held for the next 29 years until his retirement.In 1969, Albert married Shirley Wells, and the couple raised their five children in Great Falls while Albert worked.Shirley passed away in 2003. Albert enjoyed fishing and camping with his wife and family, spending two weeks every summer camping, fishing, and just enjoying the outdoors.After Shirley passed away, he spent a great deal of time playing pool and socializing with his many friends. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Shirley Nomee; parents, Andrew and Esther Nomee; and several brothers and sisters. Albert is survived by his children, Paul (Judy) Wells, Shiela Hall, Kim (Ramiro) Trevino, Evan Nomee and Andy (Crystal) Nomee, all of Great Falls; fourteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Komeotis of Rocky Boy, Karen Nomee of Great Falls, Andrea (Bill) Bilger of Havre, and Veronica Nomee of Missoula; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at O’Connor Memorial Chapel with burial to follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
