Alice Elaine Berry Miller

May 14, 1942 — January 30, 2020

Alice Elaine Berry Miller, age 77, passed away Thursday, January 30, 2020, at Benefis Peace Hospice in Great Falls. Alice was born May 14, 1942, to Bertie and Blanche Berry in Bridger, MT. She was the second youngest of 11 children. She graduated from Bridger High School in 1960. After graduation, she moved to Great Falls, MT. Alice married Dennis Miller in 1962. They had two children together, Todd and Kimberly. They later divorced. As a single mother, she pursued her career in nursing. She graduated from MSU Bozeman with her BSN. She worked as a Pediatric Nurse Specialist at Benefis Healthcare for 30 years. She was a Lieutenant Colonel in the Army Reserves. Alice had many career accolades including a one month medical mission to Tanzania, Africa for her 75th birthday. Alice had a life well lived. She traveled the world and had many adventures. Her greatest adventure was being a mother and grandmother. She loved having her sleep-overs with Kim. She loved visiting with Tahran about all of the children’s adventures and accomplishments. She enjoyed getting her pedicures from Alyssa, and loved traveling to see Chelsea wherever she was stationed. She loved sharing her love of music with her grandchildren. She looked forward to her symphony dates with Brayden, goofing off and taking selfies with Brooklynn, and her swimming dates with Addison and Teigan. For the last four years of her life, Alice was the greatest cheerleader for the Great Falls High Bison Football team. Come rain, snow, freezing weather, or mileage, you could find Alice in the grandstands cheering on her great-grandson Brayden and his teammates. Alice will be remembered most for her wisdom, her strength, her guidance, her kind encouraging words, her infectious laugh, her witty sense of humor, and above everything, her love for her family. There could never be enough words to describe how influential Alice was to those that knew and loved her. She will be missed tremendously. Alice is survived by her daughter, Kimberly (Danni) Ulsh; granddaughters, Tahran (Jeremy) Elder, Alyssa Ulsh, and Chelsea Ulsh; great-grandchildren, Brayden, Brooklynn, Addison, Shayley, Teigan, and Grayson; great-great-grandson, Oziah; siblings, Keith (Delores) Berry, Karl (Norma) Berry, and Linda (Chuck) Robinson; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Todd Miller; siblings, Charlie, Shorty, Dorothy, Bill, Dorlene, Laverne, and Ken. A funeral service will be held Saturday, February 29, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bridger, MT. Graveside Military Honors will be held at Bridger Cemetery with a reception to follow at Sacred Heart.
