David Gene Wise, 76, of Vaughn, passed away on Monday, October 4, 2021. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 8, 2021, at Peace Lutheran Church in Great Falls. David was born on October 31, 1944, to Douglas and Eleanor (Saine) Wise in San Diego, CA. He was raised in Kalispell, MT and attended the Montana School for the Deaf and Blind. After he graduated, he went to college at Oklahoma State University. He went on to work as a truck driver until he retired. He married Doris Watson on January 26, 1966, in Tulsa, OK. They have been married for 55 years. David is a member of Christ Lutheran Church for the Deaf, the Montana Association of the Deaf, Big Sky Recreation Association of the Deaf, the Great Falls Club of the Deaf, National Association of the Deaf, and the Elks Lodge #214. He has been in activities and held different offices in the Montana community. He loved to play cribbage and camp out with his family and church community. He is survived by his wife, Doris; sons, Duane Eugene of Denver, CO, Darrin Frederick of Kalispell, and Dirk Roberts of Gillette, WY; sisters, Cindy Dobson of Nevada, Diane Stoller of Somers, Mary Janice Inman of Spokane, WA, and Hilda Aasheim of Kalispell; brothers, Tim of Kalispell and Randy of Yuma, AZ; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Douglas “Butch” Wise Jr; and sister, Nola M. Wise.
