Gerald Joseph "Jerry Joe" Doney, Sr.

Gerald J. “Jerry Joe” Doney, Sr. passed away at the age of 65 on Thursday, September 10, 2020, at Peace Hospice in Great Falls, Montana. Jerry Joe was born to George and Geraldine Doney on December 7, 1954, in Fort Belknap, Montana. He grew up in Chinook, MT with his brothers, Chucky, Robin, Dusty, and Frisco, and his sisters, Lila, Dolly, and Ilene. He graduated from Box Elder High School in 1973. He married his wife of 45 years, Lynn Allen on December 31, 1976. Together they had four children, J.J., Celeste, Shaun, and Brandy. Jerry Joe loved sports, especially the Raiders, the L.A. Kings, the L.A. Dodgers, and the Oakland As. He also loved listening to music, especially Motown. He was preceded in death by his dad, George; brothers, Chucky and Robin; sister, Dolly; sons J.J. and Martin; nephews, Joey and Thomas; and two nieces, Robin Gail and Denice. Jerry Joe is survived by his mother, Geraldine; siblings, Dusty, Frisco, Lila, and Ilene; son, Shaun; two daughters, Celeste and Brandy; eleven grandchildren, one of whom Jerry Joe and Lynn raised for twelve years, Kay Lynn; and two great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by those who love him!
