James “Jamie” Robert Stevenson, 79, of Choteau, passed away on Monday, February 28, 2017 at Benefis. At his request, no services are planned. Jamie was born on March 13, 1937 in Lewistown, MT to Jamie and Jeanette Potter Stevenson. He attended schools in the Hobson-Moore area. After high school he served in the U.S. Air Force. Jamie was married to Jean Stevenson for 17 years and they had four children. He was a hard worker as a rancher and later as a highway contractor. He spent time working at his gold mine when he could. Jamie loved having a good time. He enjoyed poker and dancing, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. Jamie is survived by daughter Jody Begin of Nampa ID; sons James Stevenson of Luther OK, Jerry Stevenson of Lakin KS, and Jay Stevenson of Billings; ex-wife and friend Jean Stevenson of Hobson; brother Keith Stevenson of Hobson; business partner Dana Russell; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Wesley, Wayne, and Rick.
