Margaret P. Oatman, 78, passed away from natural causes the morning of November 6th. A funeral service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at the O’Connor Memorial Chapel with a graveside service to follow at Highland Cemetery. O’Connor Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Margaret was born in Florence, Texas on May 19, 1936 to James and Iva Bryce. She graduated from Uvalde High in 1955. She married Milton Oatman and had two sons, Myron with his children Mat of Graham, WA, Jason (Alexis) and Josh of Great Falls, and son Malcolm (Theresa) with their children Mattea, Annie, and Abigail of Warroad, MN. She had been married to Milton for 58 years. Margaret and her family traveled to wherever her husband’s military career took them, finally settling down in Great Falls, MT. She worked at Golden Triangle as a loan supervisor and retired after 21 years. She was an avid reader, and enjoyed watching tennis and old movies. She loved making crafts with family and cheering on her grandsons’ sports and granddaughters’ activities. She will be missed greatly. Margaret is survived by brothers and sisters, Pat Sweeten, Tommy Bryce, Georgie (Gene) Maddox, James Bryce, and Joyce (Ace) Hale. Preceding her in death was her husband, Milton, her sisters Jean Hale and Helen Redding, and her parents James and Iva.
