Michael Joseph Carrier

Michael Joseph Carrier, 59, of Black Eagle, passed away on Monday, February 27, 2017 with his daughter by his side. A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at O’Connor Memorial Chapel. Arrangements are in the care of O’Connor Funeral Home. Michael was born December 19, 1957 in Great Falls MT to Daniel Jarvey and Ione Carrier. He lived in Black Eagle all his life and attended local schools. He was a wild fire firefighter for the U.S. Forest Service for many years. Michael helped anyone he could. Whether it was shoveling a sidewalk or planting a garden, he made a point to be of service to people. He loved camping, walking, joking around and in his early years he loved to play softball. Most of all he loved to be at his grandkids birthday parties and to see their faces on Christmas day. He loved them and will be greatly missed. Michael is survived by his daughters Dea (William) Brown of Great Falls and Danielle of Havre; grandchildren Tyrel Brown, Parker Carroll, and Brooke Carroll; five brothers; seven sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Ione Carrier; father Daniel Jarvey; son Tyrel Shumway; brothers Ronald and Roger; and niece Stacy Carrier.
